Purpose : To prepare for  written exam of SBI JUNIOR ASSOCIATES (CLERK)/SBI  PO/IBPS PO/ IBPS CLERK/RRB PO/ RRBASSISTANT


For Improvement in Quantitative Aptitude/Numerical ability.

Solve minimum 100 Questions of COST PRICE ,SELLING PRICE (USE CLASS 5 SCHOOL BOOK ) today.

Formulas of profit and loss are given below.
When the Selling Price (SP) is greater than Cost Price (CP) the man makes a Profit or Gain.
Selling Price (SP) > Cost Price (CP) → Profit or Gain

Profit = Selling Price (SP) – Cost Price (CP)



If profit % is required to find then,

Profit % = (Profit/Cost Price) × 100


When the Selling Price (SP) is less than Cost Price (CP) the man suffers a Loss.
Selling Price (SP) < Cost Price (CP) → Loss

Loss = Cost Price (CP) - Selling Price (SP)

If loss % is required to find then,
Loss % = (Loss/CP) × 100


Depending on the formulas of profit and loss solve the following:

1. Mr. Sunil bought a book for Rs 85 and sold it for sold it for Rs 115. Find his profit or loss percent.



2. Mr. Bawa bought a TV for Rs 5800 and sold it for sold it for Rs 7000. Find his profit or loss percent.



3. Ravi bought pencils for Rs 150.As they were of bad quality, he had to sell them for Rs 127. Find his loss or gain percent.


4. Julie bought a pairs of shirt for Rs 125 and sold them for Rs 108. Find his loss or gain percent.

5. Mona sold a bicycle for Rs 24900 at a profit of Rs 600. Find the price at which she bought it.


6. Rohan has a cycle worth Rs 1800 and he wants to sell it at a profit of Rs 220. What should cycles selling price be?


7. Dhan sold a book worth Rs 850 at a loss of Rs 180. Find the selling price of the book.


8. If a chair was sold for Rs 990 at a loss of Rs 110. Find the cost price of the chair.

9. A TV was bought for Rs 18,950 and old at a loss of Rs  4780. Find the selling price.

10. A second hand car was sold for Rs  190000, at a loss of Rs  85. Find the CP of the car.

If you are fast in addition/subtraction/division and multiplication. it means you are saving 10 to 15 sec per question. It results in saving 500 sec. in  overall paper. It means that you can solve 10 questions more than your competitor. so spend most time on practice of these basic operations.
